Chemical Peels - AHA
Chemical peels using Alpha Hydroxy Acids are used in treating people who have fine wrinkles and areas of pigmentation in their skin. Alpha Hydroxy Acids like glycolic, lactic etc, usually in a 12% solution, are used to give the mildest peels. They are also recommended for people who have areas of dryness in their skin and sometimes even for acne. Doctors usually decide on weekly intervals between peels but can vary the intervals between the peels if the results require it.
Some people experience various types of reactions to the AHA peels. Some of the common symptoms observed with such people are redness and irritation of the treated portion. In some extreme cases, severe stinging has also been reported. But these effects disappear in a few days when the skin adjusts to the chemicals in the AHA peel.
The doctor will apply the peeling solution on your face and since no protective covering is used, you are free to go about your activities afterwards. The whole process will take only a few minutes and after the procedure is complete, the doctor will give you a maintenance cream which has to be applied everyday at home. This maintenance cream is usually a milder form of the Alpha Hydroxy Acid that was used.
With the weekly treatments at the clinic and the daily maintenance regime at home, you will start to see improvements within days. The AHA peel has been proven very effective for most people and they are now being mixed with bleach to treat uneven pigmentation.
The doctor will warn you not to get too much direct exposure to sunlight during the treatment. This is a very serious warning and has to be strictly abided by. So, if you plan to go out during the day, get adequate protection from the sun.

Facial
In today’s competitive world, it has become important for us to put on our best appearance day in and day out. And the hectic lifestyle and tight schedule doesn’t allow us time to go to the spa or to get a professional facial. Stay at home moms as wells as corporate professionals are on the lookout for a quick and effective method to maintain their best appearance.
Many spas offer a treatment called MicroDermaBrasion which to technically similar to sand blasting and is used to remove a layer of dead skin. The Spa technician exfoliates the dead skin using this MicroDermaBrasion procedure. As a result, new skin emerges from under and you get the advantages of a facelift without the hassles of a surgery.
The problem with this technique is that the procedure can cause redness and irritation if you have sensitive skin. There may also be some stinging in extreme cases. You also need to consider the fact that you will have to cough up $150 to $600 for a single spa appointment which is beyond the means of most women. The good news is that you can mimic that effects of MicroDermaBrasion right at home using a technique called a lemon peel. This is by far cheaper and you can also avoid the bad effects like redness, irritation etc.
It doesn’t matter if you are a stay at home mom, or a corporate professional. You need to keep your appearance at it’s best all the time, and that can be a hard job. But what if you don’t always have the time to go to a Spa for a professional facial? You can do the lemon salt scrub and have the same effects of a spa treatment.
Here’s how you do it.
You need to have a small lemon or two tablespoons of lemon juice. You will also need four tablespoons of finely ground sea salt. If you can’t find the sea salt, you can use common table salt.
Put the salt in a bowl and add the lemon juice to this. Mix them until you have a mixture with the consistency of oatmeal. Take the mixture and rub it on your face gently. You can leave it on for three or four minutes and then you can wash it off.
That’s it. You will find your skin much smoother after this treatment. You will also notice that your skin has acquired a warm and healthy glow.

You can follow a regime of fasting or follow a diet, exclusively comprised of fruits or vegetables, to help the process of detoxification that occurs naturally during our metabolism.
2. Getting enough beauty sleep.
It’s important to get a steady 6-8 hours of sleep every day. This is time when the dead cell in your body is renewed. Dark circles and bags under the eyes are commonly caused by sitting up late and not getting enough sleep. So, if you want your skin to have that healthy glow, you should catch up on your beauty sleep.

Exercise releases certain chemicals in your brain that gives you a “high” that you can carry with you all day.

Take a look at your hair, teeth etc and if you feel that a makeover can help you look younger, get it done. If you have started to put on weight, cut back on your food and get regular exercise. Looking young can go a long way towards feeling young.
Performance - Start to look at our performance. Is our body weight ideal for us? If not, try to fix that to the best ideal weight. Also look to the skin, hair, nail and teeth. Those are important as they will show our age. Looks good and feels good will increase our performance.
Natural Make Up for Sensitive Skin

Sensitive Skin
If you are allergic to a particular chemical, it doesn’t matter if the chemical was produced naturally or artificially. You will be affected period. It’s the chemical and the type of your skin that determines the severity of the affliction. Many companies and so called experts argue that all-natural make up products are not harmful and that they don’t cause any undesired reactions. But, this simply is not true because there lots of naturally occurring chemicals that are bad for you. For instance, poison ivy is certainly not good for you even though it a natural plant.
Dr. Roberta Palestine, at the mayo clinic, has been quoted as saying that all natural products are not always best and synthetic products are not always worse. What you can do is choose a make up that is most suited to your skin type. This means that you should avoid make ups that can cause you allergies.
Many companies are now coming out with hypoallergenic products that are mild and gentle on the skin. The problem is that medical science hasn’t been able to identify specific ingredients of the makeup that causes allergy. But if you know that you are allergic to a particular ingredient, it makes sense to stay from products that has that particular ingredient. Most makeup products list the ingredients on the label on the bottle or on the cover in which the bottle came.
People with sensitive skin are more badly affected by makeup products. Sometimes, they might have a slight allergy to an ingredient and they don’t even realize it until their skin gets dry and irritated from prolonged use. For instance, women who use foundation makeup, to even out their skin tone, may be allergic to something in the makeup but they walk around all day with the make up on until the dryness and irritation gets worse day by day. Women who suffer from dry skin should stay away from makeup that uses formaldehyde and alcohol etc.
When you switch between different types of makeup, it may take your skin some time to adjust to the new makeup. So, if you want to switch to all natural makeup, you should make the switch so that the skin can make the adjustment in one go. It means that you should not make piecemeal changes in your makeup because it means that the skin has to make the adjustment a number of times. Even if the product is all-natural, take a look at the ingredient list and see if you can spot something that you are allergic to.
With so many companies out there, you should do some research and find out whether the products are made using quality ingredients before you try out a new line of products. Companies try to hook people by offering free samples at shopping malls, beauty parlors etc. You should take extra care when you try out these samples.

I will give you three simple beauty tips by which you can enhance your good looks. They take very little time and effort to do and if followed correctly, will cause noticeable improvements in your appearance.
The tips are:
- Adequate sleep – You need to regulate your sleeping habits and make sure that you get at least 6 to 8 hours daily. Dark circles and bags under the eyes are commonly caused by sitting up late and not getting enough sleep. So, make sure that you catch up on your beauty sleep.
- Drink plenty of water – This is the simplest way to improve your beauty. You should drink enough water so that the hydration level of your skin is maintained during the day. If you don’t keep an eye on your hydration levels, you could get dehydrated and this in turn causes your eyes to appear dull and sunken. Dehydration can also cause your skin to have an unhealthy pallor. Drink plenty of water to regulate your hydration levels during the day.
- Remove makeup before sleep – If you don’t completely remove your makeup at night, your skin pores can get clogged. You should allow you skin to breathe because clogged pores can cause acne and blackheads. So it is important that you remember to remove all makeup before you go to bed because failure to do so can result in undesirable effects on your skin.
As you can see all three tips are very easy to do and will cost you nothing.
